Alfred Elton van Vogt (26 April 1912 - 26 January 2000) was a Canadian-born science fiction author regarded by some as one of the most popular writers of the mid-twentieth century "Golden Age" of the science fiction.
His fragmented, bizarre narrative style influenced later science fiction writers, notably Philip K. Dick.
