Earthsea Revisioned

Written by Ursula K. Le Guin

Published in 1993 by Green Bay Publications

A pamphlet in Earthsea series.

Cover Notes

Seventeen years after the third of her famous Earthsea sequence, Ursula Le Guin published a fourth and last book of Earthsea, Tehanu, in which the sequence took on a new dimension. Earthsea Revisioned is her closely reasoned and fearlessly self-revealing account of a struggle to reconcile the ancient archetypes of the hero-tale with a modern world in which the roles and perceptions of women and men have fundamentally changed.

Earthsea Revisioned is the text of a lecture delivered at the 1992 conference of Children's Literature New England at Oxford University.
