Gerard Klein

Born 1937

Biography

Gerard Klein was born in Neuilly, on May 27, 1937. His first book was published in 1955, in the Galaxie review. Many stories followed, until the middle of the Seventies, by which time he spent more time as an editor and leader-writer. Today he is considered to be the most talented post-war science fiction author in France and his works have been translated into many languages.

Gerard Klein is now, director of the most prestigious collection of French S-F, 'Ailleurs et Démain', which with editor Robert Laffont has published since 1969 the best French and foreign authors. It is without doubt that without Klein, the French Science fiction would not be what it is.
